ITALEO was founded in 1993 as a social organization for sworn law enforcement officers of Italian descent. Since then, it has grown to more than 200 members of all ethnic backgrounds, including active and retired law enforcement officers, as well as civilian supporters. Today, ITALEO proudly operates as a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

In 2021, we established the Officer Relief Fund to provide support to officers and their families during times of tragedy or hardship. Since its creation, the fund has allowed us to assist several officers and their families during difficult times and provide meaningful support when it was needed most. We also created the Sharon Rivaldo Memorial Scholarship Fund, renamed in honor of our President Emeritus, who sadly passed away in 2023. This scholarship is awarded annually to assist a member or their family pursuing a college education.
